Studio

Facilities

The studio is situated near the centre of Motcombe, near Shaftesbury, Dorset. It is a custom designed space for the teaching of individuals or groups of up to four people. A light and airy space is equipped with four workstations. Each workstation has its own storage cupboard containing a sewing machine for your personal use. The height adjustable solid wood worktops are covered with large, self healing cutting mats. Each station has a comfortable height adjustable seat.

The studio has good overhead lighting as well as a couple of daylight lamps. There is an ironing station with a board, steam iron and specialist pressing tools. Tea/coffee making facilities and a microwave are available. There is a toilet and wash basin available separate to the studio building. 

Shelving in the studio space contains three overlockers and a coverstitch for your use as well as a wealth of other small equipment. There is a library of books covering a range of textile subjects that you can access whilst attending a class or workshop. Sewing supplies are also available for purchase.
